As Chief Customer Officer at Planet, Mike leads Tech Support, Customer Success Management, Customer Education, and Revenue Operations. A relentless customer champion, he ensures the voice of the customer is infused into every aspect of the business, driving company-wide initiatives that maximize value and delight for Planet’s diverse global users.

Planet operates the largest fleet of Earth observation satellites in history—over 200 in orbit—capturing daily, high-resolution imagery of the entire planet. Mike’s teams work with customers across agriculture, defense and intelligence, environmental monitoring, and disaster response, helping them harness real-time satellite data and AI-driven insights to drive informed decisions. From mitigating wildfires with utilities like PG&E to combating illegal deforestation and tracking geopolitical events, Planet’s data plays a critical role in making the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

Before joining Planet, Mike was VP of Customer Success at Ayla Networks, a leading IoT platform, where he built a global team supporting major brands in launching connected products (think, “Alexa, tell the vacuum to clean the house”). Prior to that, he served as Chief Evangelist and VP of Customer Success at Kollective, helping Fortune 500 companies like Wells Fargo, Nestlé, and Salesforce scale enterprise video and software-defined networking solutions.

Earlier in his career, Mike held client and product management roles at high-tech companies like Organic, CNET, and NBC Internet. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and can karaoke a mean Neil Diamond upon request
